    They couldn’t imagine their physically disabled but mentally sharp children locked away in institutions or isolated in assisted living—living in isolation, unable to leave their apartment for a cup of coffee, choose their own caregiver, work, or pursue education. Their hope is for a life full of freedom, community, and dignity.
