Empowering independence for adults with physical disabilities.

Living Independently Feeling Empowered

Multistory modern apartment building with red, white, and brown exterior, large windows, and accessible parking spaces.

At Over The Rainbow (OTR), we believe a physical disability should never limit a person's potential. That’s why we create safe, affordable, and fully accessible housing, giving people with physical disabilities the freedom to live independently and the support to thrive.

Real Stories, Real Impact.

  • Help create a world where physical disability doesn't mean limited opportunity.

  • Choosing Dignity Over Confinement: A Parent’s Hope

They couldn’t imagine their physically disabled but mentally sharp children locked away in institutions or isolated in assisted living—living in isolation, unable to leave their apartment for a cup of coffee, choose their own caregiver, work, or pursue education. Their hope is for a life full of freedom, community, and dignity.

  • Independence Starts at Home

“I was born with multiple sclerosis, you feel kind of trapped unless you live somewhere that there is open space to move around, otherwise you need to wait on people to do everything for you.”

    - Elisia Banks | Resident

  • Independence, Not Institutions

1 in every 3 OTR residents would be forced to live in a nursing home or state institution if they had not found a home at OTR.

  • Our Vision

At Over The Rainbow, we see a future where every person with a disability has the opportunity to live indendently.

  • Barriers to Possibilities

“There is no way I could do it, if it wasn’t for OTR.”

    -Nicole T. Jones | Resident

  • Empowered to Live Freely

“OTR has taken me to a place of peace living here.”

    -Tony Lee Totton | Resident

  • The Difference OTR Makes

“It is one of the best places for the physically disabled to live on
    the whole planet earth.”

    - Michael Pearce | Resident
